Mrs. Pam Melot joined CLP in August 2013 when she made the move to the Front Range from Vail, CO. Prior to her move to Denver, she established & managed two schools in Vail, CO. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as additional certification in the concentration of Preschool Director. In her 15 years in Early Childhood, she has served as: an Infant teacher, Toddler teacher, Preschool Teacher, Private Kindergarten Teacher, School-Age Teacher, Asst. Director and Center Director. Needless to say she loves children & is passionate about their learning!
On a more personal note, Mrs. Pam is married to her husband, Jon. They have one daughter, Jenny, who attends our 4 year old program. The Melot family has one cat, Bronson Pinchot. They have traded mountain living for wide open spaces in their current home in Lafayette, CO. Mrs. Pam spends her free time with her family, or enjoying a quiet moment at Starbucks. Feel free to contact Mrs. Pam about any questions you may have about either of our schools. You can reach her via email.
A giant chalkboard on wheels. Stuffed animals and dolls carefully organized in rows. A list of spelling words for the "kids" to work on. This scene brings memories of playtime in my childhood. Though I now possess knowledge unknown at the time my teaching career actually began many years ago in a basement playroom in my hometown Coralville, Iowa. It's fun to have a home at Creative Learning Preschool where I can live out my childhood dreams of being a teacher. I moved to Colorado in 2000 for the scenery, graduated college in 2006, married my husband Dave in 2011 and have been enjoying all this wonderful state has to offer! With Dave and my step-son Austin we like to enjoy all the mountains have to offer especially camping, backpacking, hiking, biking, and snowboarding! Though we're a busy family, we like to take time to enjoy the benefits of living in the great city of Denver, Colorado.
I am so excited to be here at Creative Learning Preschool!! I have been in the ECE field since 2004, right after high school. I have worked in a variety of settings over the years, influenced by Montessori, Reggio Emilio, with experience in High Scope and Creative Curriculum. I have my Director’s certification and currently working on my AAS in ECE. I enjoy learning new things, as this field requires us to constantly adding "tools to our tool box." I find I learn the most from the children as they share with me their uniqueness. My husband & I are originally from Southern California, relocating in the fall of 2004. We have two boys of our own and enjoy all the seasons Colorado has to offer!
